LUID

Liberty University Indoor Drumline is an auditioned percussion ensemble dedicated to excellence in the marching arts.​

 

2014 is the third active year of the LU Indoor program, and the second year being represented in Dayton at world championships after finishing the season in 8th place at PIA world finals in April 2013.The group was formed and is currently led under the direction of Tyler Loftin, a Liberty University and USC graduate with a bachelors in Music performance with a percussion specialization and a Masters degree in Percussion Performance.

 

 

 

2012, the inaugural season for LUID consisted of 25 performing members and took the silver medal in AIA's PIA competition, .05 away from the Gold medalist. In the 2013 season, the ensemble added several members to each section, and swept PIA class AIA finals with a Gold medal by more than 7 points, and proceeded to WGI PIA finals, where they recieved 6th in prelims and 8th in finals.
